Merial, the makers of Frontline and Heartgard now bring us the newest form of flea and tick prevention, “NexGard”. NexGard is a vegetable-based, meatless (beef-flavored) chew that may be a suitable option for dogs with beef allergies.

NexGard kills Fleas (prevents infestations by killing fleas before they can lay eggs), and three widely seen ticks in the Anoka County area, the American dog tick, the Deer tick and the Lone star tick. NexGard gives a full month of protection.

NexGard is sold by prescription and is available for dogs only. The FDA has approved NexGard for use in puppies 8 weeks of age or older weighing more than 4 pounds.
